Gerard Keledjian is a Toronto-based media professional. His experience includes broadcast, print, online and social media. Gerard is interested in immigration, environmental, political and socio-cultural issues.
Gerard works as Editor at Prepare for Canada, a website focusing on job preparedness and settlement first steps of newcomers to the country. As well, he is the Founder and Executive Producer of New Horizons Media, a video production company for Canadian non-profits and small businesses.
He is also the Community Producer and Co-host of Introducing Toronto, Toronto’s first TV series dedicated to Canadian immigrants which he had pitched to Rogers TV. In addition to the television channel, the show can be viewed online at Rogers anyplace tv.
Gerard blogs at The Immigrant and regularly contributes to a number of Canadian publications such as Optical Prism, New Voices, ON Nature and canadianimmigrant.ca.
Prior to moving to Canada, Gerard was working for CNBC Arabia business news channel in Dubai, UAE as a Senior Producer/Acting Assignment Editor. Before that, he has worked for a number of community newspapers, magazines and a national television channel in Beirut, Lebanon.
Gerard has a degree in Journalism and is a member of RTDNA Canada and CAJ. He is also the Chair of New Canadian Media Professionals’ Network (NCMP), a professional immigrant network for internationally trained journalists and media professionals in Canada which he co-founded with the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto.
