Trailblazer Series: Recruiting and Retaining The Right Volunteers

Volunteer Toronto's Trailblazer Series is a set of leadership talks for people who manage volunteer-run non-profit organizations and groups in Toronto. The talks provide an opportunity for local leaders to hear from peers and experts on how to overcome common challenges faced by organizations with no paid staff and limited resources.

Recruiting and Retaining The Right Volunteers
Many volunteer-run organizations face an ongoing need to recruit new volunteers and have had to become more sophisticated and creative in the ways they recruit in order to attract volunteers with the skillsets they need. However, recruitment is only half the battle. The knowledge of experienced volunteers is an important asset for an organization and keeping volunteers engaged once they've come onboard can be just as tricky.

Hear from Volunteer Toronto and two leaders of volunteer-run organizations, as they share what they do to find the right people for their roles and keep them motivated. You'll also have the opportunity to network with other non-profits as you share your experiences.

The leadership talks are free of charge and advance registration is required so book now to secure your space!

Registration Deadline:

February 2, 2015

Note:

Please arrive between 6pm and 6.30pm for registration and light refreshments. The leadership talk will start promptly at 6.30pm and will end at 8pm.
