Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Who might be interested in this event?
PINs members are invited to attend an information session to learn about The Mentoring Partnership.
The Mentoring Partnership is a program of the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) that brings together newly arrived skilled immigrants with volunteer professionals who are working in their occupation. Mentors assist mentees to gain a better understanding of Canadian workplace culture, their industry locally as well as gaining support to build a professional network in Canada. They provide feedback for mentees as they develop effective job search strategies and identify ways to leverage their experience and skills.
How do mentees benefit from the program?
- 77% of mentees reported being employed in their occupation or a related field within 12 months of completing the program
- 92% of mentees report they are better prepared for employment in their profession
- 92% of mentees feel their resume better reflects their skills and qualifications
The information session is an opportunity to learn about how the program works, benefits and how to register. It is open only to members of professional immigrant associations such as our organization.
