Grassroots Growth presents Grassroots Governance: Building a Structure that Fits”
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 - 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Whether you’re just starting out with a group of friends and an idea or have been operating a volunteer-run non-profit for years, the right governance structure will help you and your volunteers to successfully achieve your goals. This workshop will cover defining your organization & mission, determining a strategic plan, and different ways to organize and lead your grassroots group. We’ll also talk about how you can build legitimacy, looking at the pros and cons of traditional routes like incorporation and registering as a charity as well as considering other options to increase credibility.

This workshop is perfect for: Brand new grassroots groups, groups who are looking to review and revise their current organizational structure, and people who have an idea and want inspiration and direction.

Please arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. for registration and light refreshments. The session will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

This is a FREE session open to Community Subscribers and leaders from volunteer-run organization. Registration is required.
