This workshop covers the basics of developing an organizational identity and building legitimacy for grassroots groups. Includes:

  • The fundamentals of writing mission and vision statements
  • Options for governance structure
  • Strategic planning 101
  • Developing policies & procedures
  • Information on incorporation, registering as a charity, and trusteeships

Perfect For: Brand new grassroots groups; groups who are in the process of reviewing and revising their current organizational structure; people who have an idea and are looking for inspiration and practical advice on starting a volunteer-run group
